Rockin' & Rollin Garden Whimsy

I'm pretty sure that's the name of the technique I've used to make this card:

Firstly, you ink the stamp with the lighter colour, then you roll the edges of the stamp in the darker colour. I've used my newly aqcuired Regal Rose and Basic Grey that arrived this morning.

Stamp sets used: Garden Whimsy, So Many Sayings, Polkadot.

Other: Window punch, Grey tafetta ribbon, half ribbons.

Hubby's 40th invitations

Here is one of the very many invitations I made for my husband's 40th birthday.

I used Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip and Bashful Blue cardstock, and Bashful Blue and Chocolate Chip ink with the Ocean Commotion stamp set. I used the paper piercer from the tool kit on the top left corner.

Now I'm off to enjoy a couple of hours on my own, as Mia has gone back to school and Demi is now at preschool. A nap, maybe? Sounds good.

2000 Blog Hits!!!!!

Oh my gosh!

I have reached 2000 hits on my Blog! I can't believe it!

Thank you so much to all of you who take the time to visit, and especially those of you who leave me such motivating comments. Please keep coming back! I hope you gain some inspiration and ideas for your own projects.

Thank you again.

Andrea.

Embrace Life in Certainly Celery

Here is the card & gift wrapping I made for my sister-in-law's birthday. I used the Embrace Life stamp set from the Summer Mini Catalogue, the So Many Sayings Hostess Set, the Yummy stamp set from the Sale-a-bration promotion, and Certainly Celery Designer Series Papers.

If you have any questions, please ask.

Bye for now.

Quick little gift bag

Just a really quick post for a really quick, last minute, walking-out-the-door gift bag.

I have a whole bunch of these brown paper bags. Firstly, I adhered some pink cardboard letters that I had in my stash. Then, I simply stamped images from the Priceless stamp set all over the bag in Pixie Pink, then made a simple gift card using some scrap Non-SU oatmeal card. I added some curling ribbon & voila!

Oh, I also stamped the journalling lines stamp from the Live Your Dream stamp set inside the gift card (you can just make it out in the photo), to help guide my daughters writing.

I have been madly working on the invitations for my daughters' birthday party, and on the little gift cards to put on their lolly bags, hence the lack of posts. I do have to make a couple of cards soon, though, so keep an eye out for those.

Catch you soon.
