One of a Kind Scrapbook Pages

Hi all.
Just a quick post today as I have a bit on my mind with my dad being in hospital for the last few days. As you may imagine I'm not in the mood to go into details at the moment. I hope you understand, but I just wanted to post this to take my mind off things for a little while.

Well, here is another double page layout created with the One of a Kind stamp set. I also used Urban Oasis paper, Basic Grey, Basic Black & Baja Breeze colours. Lots (and I mean lots) of cutting out on this one. Thank goodness for the Boho Blossoms punch which punched out the smaller flowers. The numbers were created with non-SU stamps.
Well, take care & hope to be back soon.

Scrap, scrap, scrappin'

Hello everyone.

Hope you've all had a good start to your weekend. I'm a little tired after a late night of home shopping (Tupperware & jewellery), but I'm surviving! Bet you don't feel sorry for me, do you? Ha ha! Not only that, I had to be up early to drop the girls off at dancing.

Despite my fatigue, I still managed to finish two double page layouts that I started at the beginning of the week. They took me that long because there was so much cutting out, something I used to despise, but now I find that if I take it slowly, it's quite relaxing. Anyway, I did a little each day & now they are finished. I have to say that I'm really pleased with how they turned out.

Here is the left side of the first layout...

This is the right side...

And this is how they join together...

For this layout, I used Urban Oasis paper, Sahara Sand cardstock, Black Staz On ink, FiftheAvenue Floral stamp set & an non-SU alphabet stamp set, Eyelet Border punch, and black ribbon.

Now for the second layout...

This layout was completed with the Organis Outlines and Life Definitions stamp sets, Pink Passion, Wild Wasabi (retired) and Whisper White Cardstock, Wild Wasabi ink and non-SU paper.

See what I mean about all the cutting! Well, what do you think? I hope I've inspired you to catch up on some scrapbooking. I'm almost up to date but with Christmas and all the associated celebrations & activities coming around again, I have no doubt that I'll be lagging behind again all too soon. ;)

Take care.

Andrea.

Ballerina Cards

Welcome to the second week of the school holidays!

On the topic of schools, Mia has been invited to so many classmates' parties lately that I thought it would be a good idea to make some cards and create a stash of them to keep on hand...

They are all very similar with only slight variations such as the colour (Pretty in Pink or Certainly Celery), the stamp orientation, the embellishments (crystals or pearls, pink or green flowers) & the background stamp (script or print).

The feature ballerina stamp is a non-SU stamp that I used to make Mia's second birthday invitations a few years ago now, and as such, it holds a special place in my heart & I'll never part with it. It's soooo cute, isn't it?
Well, I'm off to prepare some lunch for the girls.
Take care.

Twins' 16th birthday.

I must say that I was stumped when I had to make birthday cards for 16 year old twin boys. Well, I still gave it a go. Not sure that they were what I really intended to make but here they are the cards, anyway...

Well, thank you for stopping by. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Christmas Card Class WIth Friends

Well, I'm back (after what seems a reeeeaaally long time) with four Christmas cards that we made last night...

Do you like Rudolph's shiny red nose, thanks to Crystal Effects?

The second card has a line of sparkly snow, thanks to Dazzling Diamonds glitter, and a neat torn edge with compliments of the Tearing Edge ruler...

The background of the third card was created with the Soft Holly wheel, and the doves, again, were sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds...

The last card was also dressed up with glitter all over the trees to resemble snow, and on the dove...
Well, it was a great night that went into the wee hours of this morning, and I have glitter all over the house to prove it - ha ha! Not sure if you can see it in the photos but yes, these cards were very sparkly!
I won't note down all the supplies used, but if you need to know anything, please just ask.
Well, I'm off. We have three parties to go to this weekend. Bring 'em on! I'll be back soon with some of the cards I made for these parties.
Take care.
