Delightful Ornaments

I have to say that the Delightful Decorations stamp set was the first on my wish list when the new catalogue came out this month. I just fell in love with it, thinking it would be perfect for Christmas cards, tags and decorations. I finally got a chance to play with it & here is the result...

I just love this neutral colour combination of Soft Suede (I think it could actually take over as my favourite colour from Chocolate Chip), Crumb Cake, Bashful Blue and Whisper White. I'm not a real fan of the traditional Christmas colours of red and green.

I think the ornaments look great resting on the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder impression, teamed with the also elegant Many Merry Messages sentiments and detailed with half pearls and gold brads. It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas, isn't it? :)

Oh, the Places You'll Go!

I made this next card for a little friend of ours straight after I made the one for my mum so I used the same colours. Have you noticed that I do this often? Anyway, here is the card...

This gorgeous image was coloured with SU markers. I like to think that my watercolouring is improving. Even if it isn't, I still love doing it. Ha ha...

Take care until next post.

My Mum, the Pokies Queen!

My Mum loves a flutter on the pokies so this is the perfect card for her birthday next month ...

I have to say that I just love the Soft Suede shade, seen here teamed with Bashful Blue, but that little touch of red just seems to lift the card. I topped the jackpot alarm thingamajiggy with Crystal Effects. The image was coloured with SU markers. The tiny sentiments from the Silhouette Sentiments hostess set fit perfectly on the Jewellery Tag punch.

I can't wait to give it to her. I know she'll have a good chuckle.

Enjoy your night & see you soon.

One colour scheme, three cards.

Hello!

I had to make three girlie cards today so I stuck with one colour scheme. Here are the three cards...

The cardstock colours I used were Pretty in Pink and Soft Suede. The images were stamped with black StazOn on watercolour paper & coloured with SU markers in Blush Blossom, Soft Suede, Pretty in Pink, Sahara Sand and Rose Red. I have to say that I just love the Elegant Lines embossing Folder. Have I mentioned that before? The butterfly is a single SU stamp called All a Flutter. Again, the sentiment is from Silhouette Sentiments. Sentiments were punched with the 1 inch circle punch. I used glitter on the wings. Flowers & silver charms are from my stash & the silver brads are also from SU.

Thank you again for stopping by. I hope you've gained inspiration in some way.

Take care.

Andrea :)

Little Soccer Boy

Hello weekend!

I can't wait for tomorrow. I never really sleep in on weekends but I just love not having to rush to get out of my PJ's and out of the house. And the weather promises to be divine tomorrow. Bring it on!

Anyway, my girls have been invited to quite a few parties over the next few weeks & this is one of the cards I made for our little neighbour who will be turning four soon...

I used SU markers to colour my image. Colour used were Pumpkin Pie, Night of Navy, Not Quite Navy, Chocolate Chip and Blush Blossom. I used the star punches to embellish the card and Crystal Effects on the soccer ball. I finished it off with some coloured string that I received for my birthday & a silver charm from my bottomless pit of a stash.

The sentiment is from one of the new Level 1 Hostess Sets called Silhouette Sentiments. It is tiny & just gorgeous. It was punched out with a circle punch.

Well, thanks again for taking the time to stop by my Blog. Make the most of your weekend.

For My Sis & a Friend

I just feel really inspired lately. Really motivated to create & try new things, & that's so exciting. So it goes without saying that I really enjoyed making these cards today, especially colouring in the images with my SU markers. This is the first card I made. It's for my friend, Sandra who really enjoys (don't want to call her an addict - ha ha!) Facebook...

The second one is for my sister's 50th birthday, which isn't until December, so I'm hoping she won't visit my Blog before then. I don't think she will. She isn't a Stamp My Day addict, just another Facebook addict - ha ha! Very appropriate stamp for both of them.

Feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for stopping by.

My Dad's Birthday

Hello again!

Here is the card for my dad that I promised...

I just love this stamp because it looks just like my Dad - ha ha! - the grumpy look, the shorts with long socks & sneakers, and the glasses!

The sentiment is computer generated because I wanted it to be in Spanish.

What's on the creative agenda for today? Another card. This time time for a female friend. Stay tuned.

Enjoy your day.

A Fairy & A Sk8er Boy

Good morning everyone. I hope you enjoyed this past weekend's weather.

This morning I have two cards to share with you that I made for some upcoming little friends' birthdays...

I have to say that I really love the new Elegant Lines Embossing Folder. It creates a really lovely, deep embossing effect. And as you've probably noticed, I've been adding the Little leaves wherever I can - ha ha!

I've started working on a card for my Dad, whose birthday is also coming up so stay tuned for that one.

I'm off to enjoy my fruit salad with yoghurt. Mmmm. Can't you just feel Summer approaching?

Take care.

Happy Father's Day!

Wishing all the fathers in your lives a very Happy Father's Day! I hope you have a great day together. We'll be celebrating with a BBQ at our house this year, where the guests of honour will be my dad, my father-in-law & my hubby.

Here is the card I made for hubby...

I won't posts the cards I made for our fathers because I have used cards that have featured on my Blog before.

Well, take care & enjoy this special day.

September Card Class

Hello again.

I'm back today to share with you the cards we made tonight during our card class. Here they are....
First up is a simple card using the Vontage Vogue set and the Very Vintage wheel together with the Rock 'n' Roll technique. Colours used were Whisper White, Pretty in Pink and Basic Black. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments. To achieve the dimensional look of the flowers, the large flowers were curled over the thick end of the piercing tool. The small flowers were glued on top of the large flower and then the petals of the small flower were pushed upwards.
The second card was made with the Sense of Time stamp set. The background was stamped with VersaMark ink & then put through the crimper. The Circle Scissors were used to cut the large clock face & circle punches were used for the smaller circles. Silver brads were added to embellish. The sentiment is from Short and Sweet.
Finally, we made a card that you may have seen in one of my previous posts. The patty was also put through the crimper to make it look just like a cupcake patty. Silver brads were used again. The stamp used was Simple Birthday Thanks. The image was inked with a Basic Black marker to be able to omit the writing from the middle of the stamp. The sentiment is from Something Sweet.
That's all from me tonight. Enjoy your weekend and hope to talk to you all again next week. Feel free to talk back to me by leaving your comments. It gets a bit lonely here in Blogland sometimes.
Bye...

Another Mermaid Card

Welcome to Spring & to the new Stampin' Up! Idea Book and catalogue!
Can't wait to until tomorrow night's card class and catalogue launch. I'm sure everyone will be as excited as I am about it.

I will post photos from the class late tomorrow night, but for now I have another mermaid card to share with you....

She's so cute, right?
