Some Scrapbooking Today

Hello everyone!

It feels like an eternity since I've had some hours all to myself & I have to say that it feels really nice and rather peaceful. So once I got all the mundane things out of the way like the grocery shopping, cleaning & cooking dinner, I ran to my craft room to get started on some layouts. This is the first one...

I have had this paper for so long that I can't even remember what it's called (ha ha!) but it goes really well with these photos taken of Demi the day she started at her new preschool at the beginning of the year. I can't believe she'll be starting school next year! Yikes!

I love the stamped floral images from the Petal Pizzaz stamp set. I have used them on layouts quite a few times. Here I have teamed them with the Little Leaves diecuts and some half pearl centres. Colours used were Real Red, Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery.

I was able to get started on another layout today so let's hope I can get a little more time tomorrow so I can finish it & post it for you.

Well, take care.

Andrea.

A Post a Day!

Now brace yourselves! I'm going to have a post per day every day this week! OK, have you fainted? Ha ha. I've already made the projects but I thought I'd share them with you slowly to buy me more time to make new projects.
Well, ready for today's effort? It's a double page layout of my older daughter's dance concert...

I love how the colours really match the outfit perfectly. What do you think?

Colours used were: Rose Red, Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White.
Stamps: Petal Pizzaz
Other: Alphabet dies, Little Leaves die, crystals
Be sure to come back tomorrow for some new cards. See you then.
Andrea

Petal Pizzaz in Grey & Saffron

Well, I definitely think I've been on a roll lately. Here is another double layout I completed today, using So Saffron, Basic Grey, Soft Sky & Bashful Blue, & the lovely Petal Pizzaz stamp set:

I really like the softness of the colours & yes, my little birdie has made yet another appearance.

Thank you again for stopping by, & please feel free to leave your comments.
Take care.
Andrea.

Petal Pizzaz Card and Gift Bag

Hello!

Here is a gift bag & card that I made for my Mum's birthday next month...

It's OK. she doesn't read my Blog - ha ha!

For these projects I used the Petal Pizzaz stamp set teamed with the now retired Brocade Background papers (I'm pretty sure that's the name of it but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). Colours used were the also obsolete River Rock & Chocolate Chip. Tools & accessories used were circle punches, scallop circle punch, oval punches, gold brads, Chocolate Chip ribbon & twine. The sentiment is from Wonderful Favourites set.

Things have been quiet on the Blogging front as I've been slowly working on the girls birthday invitations for nest year, and coming up with Christmas cards for a class I'm doing next next week. I have almost prepared the kits so I've feeling very productive.

Well, I'm off. Hope to be in bed early tonight. Enjoy your night.

Andrea.

Demi's Preschool Photo Layout

It's been a while but I've finally broken the drought with this layout of Demi's preschool photo.

The colours of the photo were a little difficult to work with but I think I got there in the end by pulling out the now obsolete Ginger Blossom DSP, cardstock and ink, & combining it with Elegant Eggplant cardstock, ink & ribbon, & Old Olive ink.

I used the gorgeous Petal Pizzaz stamp set, clear rhinestones, a little pewter plaque.

I also completed the layout of the class photo but as with Mia's school photo layout, I haven't posted it for privacy reasons.

Well, I'm holding a class tonight so I hope to be back over the weekend to post photos of tonight's creations.

Until then.
Andrea.

Today's Class

A big thank you to all the ladies who participated in today's class!

Let me tell you that I am completely stuffed from all the nibblies!
Well, each of us made this card....
...using the Petal Pizzaz stamp set (one of my current favourite sets) and the Best yet hostess set, together with the colour combination of Whisper White, Night of Navy, Brocade Blue and Old Olive, and the Scallop Circle punch, Large Oval punch and the new Scallop Oval punch.

The second project was one of these cute little handbags...

The red bag is the example I had prepared using the now obsolete (but still gorgeous) Ginger Blossom scrapbooking paper, and the grey & blue bag is an example of the gift bags the participants made using the equally lovely Urban Garden papers, together with Basic Grey cardstock & ink. The Scallop Circle punch, 1 3/8" Circle punch and the 1 1/4" punch were used for the tag, as was a little chain from a bargain shop.
I think the ladies were pretty pleased with their projects and it's great to see them becoming more confident with their efforts. Can't wait for the next class. At their request, we'll be making wedding and engagement cards. Oh, the pressure of coming up with ideas!
Bye for now & enjoy the sunshine.

Matching Card

Well here is the matching card I promised you yesterday, except this time I used little pink crystals instead of brads...

Everything about it is really easy. The only thing that takes a little time is the cutting.

Well, thanks for looking & enjoy your Sunday.

On a Roll!

Hello! I hope you're enjoying your weekend.

Here is yet another double page layout I have managed to complete despite it being school holiday time. My girls and I have managed to enjoy quite a bit of crafting in between all the other school holiday activities.

This layout is of Demi's first day of preschool...

Isn't she the cutest thing cute?

For this layout I used the now retired Certainly Celery DSP teamed with the gorgeous Petal Pizzaz stamp set. This set is not only a fabulous set for making greeting cards but it also simply perfect for making embellishments for scrapbooking pages, as you can see here. I stamped the flowers and leaves in Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery, cut them or punched them out, pierced gold brads through the flower centres and voila! So effective. The sentiments are from the Level 1 Hostess Set, Best Yet and the now retired Live Your Dream set.

Hopefully I'll be back tomorrow with two cards, one of them in the same theme of this layout, so stay tuned!

By the way, I apologise if this post looks like it's all crammed together, but for some strange reason, Blogger doesn't seem to acknowledge my paragraphs, or it wants to put in huge gaps between my paragraphs. Grrrr!!!!
