My little Demi was sick today :( so we both stayed home together and rested, and managed to do some crafting.
I made a card for a school friend of Mia's, to whose party she has been invited to tomorrow. Here it is...
And here is the matching bag that I made...
The little sk8er boy image is perfect for little boys. He was stamped onto watercolour paper with black StazOn ink and coloured with SU markers and a blender pen. The sentiment is from Up & Away. I have no idea about the paper - sorry!Cardstock colours used were Crumb Cake, Bravo Burgundy, Night of Navy and More Mustard. The circles were cut with the Circle Scissors and circle punches. The letters on the bag were cut with the Simple Letters Alphabet dies.
Well, hopefully we'll all be off to bed early tonight so we can all be rested and feeling up to scratch for the weekend. Don't forget that Daylight Savings ends this Sunday 1 April 2012, at 3:00 am when clocks will be put back one hour. I have to say that I'm not looking forward to the dark mornings and afternoons. :(
Catch you again soon.

Beautiful Wings
Hello everyone!
I hope you've all been keeping well and have managed to do lots of crafting.
I plan to really get back into the swing of things now that my girls parties are done and dusted, but for now I just have one lonely ol' card to show you - Demi's birthday card...
The photos aren't the best as I took them at night, but hopefully, you can see that I used So Saffrin, Rose Red, Old Olive and Whisper White. The gorgeous butterflies were cut with the Beautiful Wings die, embellished with adhesive half-pearls, and place on squares punched with both sized square punches. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set and was punched out with the Word Window Punch. Very simple, but very effective. I love this layout and use it time and time again.
Off to school now to pick up my munchkins. Let's hope they make it to the car, at least, without fighting today. Here goes.... :)

An Under the Sea Pool Party!!!
Yes, I've been missing in action for some time but with good reason, as you will soon see!
My girls both celebrate their birthdays in March and they had their pool party last weekend. The theme was "Under the Sea." I have lots (and I mean, lots) of photos to share with you. Some craft related, some not. Here goes...
First up is the octopus cake and cupcakes that I made for them. You may know that decorating cakes is my other love other than papercrafts. I have to say that this has to be my favourite cake that I have made, and the girls agreed. They loved it which makes all those hours of labour so worthwhile.
Next are the invitations. These are the mermaid invitations that Demi gave to her friends...
...and these are Mia's invitations. All hand coloured by moi. :)
Instead of hiding the invitations inside envelopes, I used clear cello bags and decorated them with a thin ribbon, personalised tag and charm.
The weather was great on the day and all the kids had a blast! Oh, to be a child again.

Here are the birthday girls themselves and the loves of my life... Demi turning 6 and Mia turning 9.

This one of the little baskets that I had the girls make as part of the crafting activity. They made these to put the spoils of the pinata into...
This is Mia with her finished basket...
And Demi with her finished basket...
This was the mermaid pinata... She's not the prettiest but she did the job. Ha ha...
Finally I want to show you the goody bags for the guests...
Now that you've seen all of that, do you forgive me for being off the radar for a while? Ha ha...
Feel free to leave me any comments. I'd love to hear from you.
Take care.
Andrea
