September Card Class

Hello everyone.

I have to say that I've been a bit slack with my card classes lately but better late than never, right? I finally held another class on Friday. The theme of this class was male cards. Here are the night's projects.

The first three were inspired by others' cards:

This first one was inspired by a card I found at Stamper Camper's Corner

Isn't it so cute?

This next one was inspired by a card that I can't locate anymore :( Leave it with me. I'll keep looking for it and I'll post the link as soon as I find it!:

The third card was based on this card on Splitcoast Stampers:

And finally here is the last card:

This night was also the night that I launched the new SU Catalogue and Holiday Catalogue. Here are the catalogues ready to be give out, accompanied by a little tag that I created:

Unfortunately, due to the high number of orders from the new catalogue that SU is experiencing, I didn't receive my new goodies in time for my class, so I had to resort to using stamps that I already had. It would have been nice to have been able to show the ladies some new goodies. They'll just have to wait until the next class. And boy, do I have some great ideas for that class!

I haven't listed supplies in this post, so if you'd like to know anything, please just ask.

Take care.

My Niece's Birthday

Hello again.

It was my niece's 30th birthday this past Friday and I want to share with you the card I made for her....

I love this color scheme of Crumb Cake, Tempting Turquoise, (retired) Groovy Guava and Whisper White.

The image was coloured with SU markers and a blender pen, and the sentiment is from Happiest Birthday Wishes. The little flowers were cut with one of the punches from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack, and they were embellished with adhesive rhinestones.

Well, that's all from me today.

Catch you soon.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!

We started our morning with the girls helping their Dad tear into the presents they bought at the school Father's Day stall, and with a continental breakfast that they cooked for him. We later had lunch with our dads and families at a local club, where our parents spent the afternoon playing the poker machines, something they love.

I bought my Dad and my Father-in-Law an obligatory hefty Scratchies pack each and accompanied them with these cards...

The Language of Friendship is such an appropriate stamp set for both our dads as they both love birds. My Dad used to breed and show canaries many, many years ago, and we always seemed to have pet budgies. My Father-in-Law currently has a few cockatiels.

The colours I used were Crumb Cake, Whisper White, So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie and Always Artichoke. The sentiment is from Afterthoughts. The bird and branch were cut with the Two Step Bird Punch.

They are very simple cards but I'm happy with them.

Well, whatever you did to celebrate today, I hope it was special in every way.

Take care.
Andrea
