Another Christmas Double Page Layout

Here is another Christmas double page layout that I just finished this morning...

I really love this soft and pretty colour combination of Chocolate Chip and Soft Sky. I also used the Afternoon Tea Designer Series Paper, Chocolate Chip ribbon, and the Life Definitions and Many Merry Messages stamp sets. The flowers, charm and numbers stamp set are non-SU.

Thanks for stopping by!

Pick a Petal - or two!

I recently purchased the Pick a Petal set and jumped at the chance to put it into use during a few spare minutes yesterday.

Here is the first card...

I feel it's a little bland but not tooooo bad for my first attempt with this stamp set. I teamed the Pick a Petal set with the Garden Whimsy and Short and Sweet stamp sets. The colours used were Whisper White, Regal Rose & Wild Wasabi.

Now for the second card...

This one is for my Daughter, Demi's 3rd birthday on Monday. I love this colour combination of Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant and Pink Passion.

I can't believe Demi is almost three!

Well, stay tuned for a scrapbooking layout! Back soon.

40th Female Card

Here is a card made for a friend turning 40.

For this one I used Whisper White, Soft Sky and Blue Bayou cardstock, Sprink Break DSP, Blue Bayou and Sofy Sky inks, Botanical Blooms and Live Your Dream stamp sets, Blue Bayou ribbon, oval punches and half pearls. I think it turned out very pretty.

Goodies for Mia's classmates.

These are the little goodies Mia gave to her classmates today in celebration of her sixth birthday...

Lip balms for the girls...

...and Ben 10 pens for the boys...

I thought it was a better idea than taking cakes or lolly bags, especially since there are a couple of children in her class with food allergies. Apparently, they were a hit!

They were decorated using both size tag punches, the Think Happy Thoughts and All in the Family stamp sets & grosgrain ribbons. The lip balms are from Avon (yes, I'm an Avon Rep too). They are a lovely match with the Groovy Guava & Certainly Celery colours, don't you think?

Happy 6th Birthday, Mia!

It's Mia's 6th birthday today!!! What a big girl!

Because Daddy was going to be at work when she woke up in the morning, we decided to give Mia her presents on the eve of her birthday. She was so excited & loved them all! Here she is with her pressies...

After she opened her presents she asked me where her card was. OOPS! Because we gave her the presents a day early I hadn't made one for her. I had planned to make it when she was at school. I felt terrible so I asked her to give me a few minutes & I made her one. Here it is...

Mia loved it! I wrote her an essay inside & when she finished reading it she said, "I love you, Mummy." If that weren't enough, when I put her to bed that night she asked me what my favourite part of the day had been, I told her it was when she opened her presents. In turn, I asked her what her favourite part of the day had been...and do you know what she said? She said it was the card I made her. We hugged & I shed a few tears. Such a simple gift can touch hearts so deeply, no matter what the age of the recipient. Gosh, I love what I do.

Happy birthday, Mia!

Anyway, I almost forgot to tell you about the card itself. It is just like the one we made during my last class, except for the colours. This time I used, Very Vanilla and Ruby Red cardstock, Ginger Blossom DSP, Ruby Red, Groovy Guava and River Rock inks, brads, circle punches. The stamp sets used were Big Bold Birthday & a non-SU number set.

Thanks for stopping by!

Finally!

Well, I finally got off my behind & finished this Christmas Eve layout, which I began weeks & weeks ago.

I used Blue Bayou and Old Olive cardstock and ink, Spring Break DSP, the Embrace Life stamps set (over & over & over again - ha ha!), Old Artichoke ribbon, half pearls & a couple of little charms.

Thanks for stopping by. I'm off to start on my next layout while I'm on a roll.

Goodbye to some retiring items

It has been a while but I'm back with a couple of cards we made during a class today. I tried to incorporate some retiring items.

Here is the first card, made using the Live Your Dream stamp set and the matching Afternoon Tea Designer Series paper from the Summer Mini Catalogue which is available until 31st March. Colours used were Chocolate Chip, Whisper White & Groovy Guava.

Next is a card made using the Big Bold Birthday stamp set,the Spring Break Designer Paper, Whisper White, Blue Bayou and Pumpkin Pie cardstock, Blue Bayou, Pumpkin Pie and Soft Sky ink.

Luckily, this stamp set will not be retiring but the paper, the Blue Bayou and Soft Sky coloured items, together with all the other In-Colour items, will be. I'm really sad about this as I only recently "discovered" them, having become a demonstrator last August. Not to worry, the new In-Colours look just as delish. Not long to wait now - the new catalogue comes out on 1st April!
