Christmas in July Card Class

Hi everyone!!!

At the suggestion of my of my lovely regular class attendees, Ruth (hi Ruth!), I decided to hold a Christmas in July Card Class. We all know it's never too early to get started on Christmas. That festive time always sneaks up on us ever so quickly.

The cards were made using a combination of the gorgeous A Wish for Peace and Many Merry Messages stamp sets, and the Soft Holly wheel, used in conjunction with Stampin' Around Wheel Guide to get that perfectly straight finish. The perfect tearing effect was achieved with the use of the Tearing edge ruler. Colours used were Basic Black, Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Basic Grey and Bashful Blue. The two blue cards were finished with the beautiful Dazzling Diamonds glitter. You just have to see the sparkle in real life!

I hope I haven't left anything out!

Just before I go, I'd like to share a photo with you of the lovely ladies that attended the class...

Well, I hope this inspires you to get an early start on those Chrissie cards.

Take care!

I'm even throwing in a Part Three!

Oops, I almost forgot this (which is possibly my favourite) layout....

I love that All A Flutter butterfly, don't you?

That's definitely it for today but as promised, I'll be back tomorrow with those cards.

Scrapbooking Galore! - Part Two

Here are the next lot of photos...
The papers I used for these layouts are retired SU papers. I never seem to get the time to use my papers while they are still current - ha ha!
You will also recognise the following items that I have used:
All A Flutter and Vintage Vogue stamps, Little Leaves and Alphabet dies, circle punches and Circle Scissors. If you'd like more specific details please don't hesitate to ask.

The second layout is very similar to a previously posted layout that I made for my older daughter. The photis were very similar so I kept the layouts similar too.
So, what do you think?
I hope I have been able to give you some little ideas that you can incorporate into your own scrapbooking pages or cards.

Well, I'll be back late tomorrow night to show you the cards that we'll be making during tomorrow night's Christmas in July Card Class.
Take care,
Andrea

Scrapbooking Galore! Part One

Hi everyone.

I have been home on my own for a few hours on this foggy, rainy day so I got the chance to complete the journalling on some layouts that I put together last week. There are quite a few pages so I'll have to show them to you over two posts. Here are the first lot of photos...

For these layouts I have incorporated the use of the square, large oval and butterfly punches. Gotta love punches!

Stay tuned for the second post...

Pool Party Layout

Yes, yes, yes!!!! I got to finish the layout that I started yesterday! Here it is...

I love the vibrant colours in this which happen to match the girls' cossies exactly! I used Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue & some retired DSP, the name of which escapes me again. I'm terrible with remembering the names of DSP.
I also used the large oval punch and all the different sizes of circle punches to resemble bubbles.
I put my journalling into the biggest circles. The blue circle was cut with my Circle Scissors.
The title was done with my beloved alphabet dies & I couldn't resist including a Little Leaves die cut. Some twine was used too.
The glasses on the stamped image were filled in with Crystal Effects to give them a shiny finish.
I can't wait until Mia gets home from school so I can show her the layout. I know she'll love it & I can't wait to see her little face. :)
Take care & hope to be back soon.
Andrea.

Some Scrapbooking Today

Hello everyone!

It feels like an eternity since I've had some hours all to myself & I have to say that it feels really nice and rather peaceful. So once I got all the mundane things out of the way like the grocery shopping, cleaning & cooking dinner, I ran to my craft room to get started on some layouts. This is the first one...

I have had this paper for so long that I can't even remember what it's called (ha ha!) but it goes really well with these photos taken of Demi the day she started at her new preschool at the beginning of the year. I can't believe she'll be starting school next year! Yikes!

I love the stamped floral images from the Petal Pizzaz stamp set. I have used them on layouts quite a few times. Here I have teamed them with the Little Leaves diecuts and some half pearl centres. Colours used were Real Red, Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery.

I was able to get started on another layout today so let's hope I can get a little more time tomorrow so I can finish it & post it for you.

Well, take care.

Andrea.
