Juggler Boy

Hi everyone!

What great weather we're having here in Sydney. The girls have just jumped in the pool with their dad so I've just snuck away to show you this card that I made today...

It was inspired by the son of a friend of ours who has learnt to juggle.

I used the All in the Family stamp set which I've had for ages, plus the Family Favourites add on set, which I've only just acquired. The sentiment is from the Silhouette Sentiments hostess set.

Colours used were Night of Navy, Bashful Blue, Certianly Celery. The charm, string & DSP are from my stash.

Well, I hope you like the card & I hope you enjoy this fantastic weekend.

Bye all....

Punches Three Pillow Favour Boxes

Hello everyone!

How are you all? Well, I hope.

I managed to finished the little favour boxes that my girls will be giving to their classmates for Christmas this year...

I used the gorgeous little Pillow Box die with silver cardstock that my lovely friend Anna (hi Anna!) gave me a tonne of, together with the now retired hostess stamp set, Punches Three and punched out the image with the Scallop Square Punch. I used Basic Grey ink and Real Red ribbon with little dove charms.

Cute, huh? What's inside? A little Christmas tree ornament.

What do you think?

Here Comes the Sun!

Well, it kinda comes and goes at the moment (we were swimming on Saturday & back in fleecy trackies on Sunday) but nonetheless, I decided to make a Summery card for our niece, Victoria, whose birthday is coming up next month...

The colours, Rose Red and Pumpkin Pie look very Summery together, don't they?

Well, let's hope the sun sticks around longer this times.

Smiles,
Andrea.

Christmas Card Class

Hello everyone!

I hope you're all well.

I'm going to show you the four Christmas cards we made during our last class, though you'll have to excuse some of the shocking photos. I was in a bit of a hurry (to say the least) when I took them.

My aim in conducting this class was to show the ladies how they could make lots of gorgeous yet different Christmas cards quickly and with limited supplies, in particular simple colour combinations.

We simply used one stamp set for the images - the Delightful Decorations stamp set, and one set for the elegant sentiments - Many Merry Messages. The ornaments were punched with the coordinating Ornament punch.

I hope I succeeded and I hope I have inspired you to get a start on those Chrissie cards. Sorry again for the bad photography.

Take care,
Andrea.

Birthday Fishes

Well, I didn't think I'd be back before my next class but here I am with a card for my daughter's school friend who will be celebrating her birthday next week...

I don't normally use such a bright colour combination but I have to say that I quite enjoyed working with Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red, Old Olive and Bashful Blue. Refreshing! What do you think?

Well, off to school now. Take care & enjoy your day!

A Card for My Niece.

Good morning everyone!

How are you all?

I've spent this morning starting my packs for my Christmas card class next week but I took time out to make a birthday card for my niece who's turning 24 next week too. Here is the card...

Colours used were Soft Suede, Crumbcake and Bashful Blue. The sentiment and background image on the sentiment are from the Silhouette Sentiments hostess set. The sentiment was punched with the 1in circle punch and embellished with a half pearl. The main image was stamped on watercolour paper with black Stazon ink & coloured with various SU markers.

I'll be back next week to show you the cards from my class. Until then, take care.

Baby Tees Christening Card

I'm back to share with you the result of my first play with the Baby Tees wheel. This was another stamp I just knew I had to have when the new catalogue came out.

We have been invited to our little neighbour's christening this month so it was a perfect opportunity for me to use it. Here is the card...

This is such a cute stamp & I have to say, I think the card is cute too. The jumpsuits were rolled onto watercolour paper with black StazOn ink, coloured with markers and cut out. Colours used were Chocolate Chip and Pretty in Pink.

The "Congrats" sentiment is from the Silhouette Sentiments hostess set. It was punched with the Jewellery Tag punch. The other sentiment is from a retired set. It was punched out with the Word Window punch.

The cute little coathangers are from my stash. I bought them years ago knowing that one day I'd find a use for them. The twine, crystal, flowers, glitter & buttons are also from my stash.

Do you guys like this one?

School Layouts

Mia just received her 2010 school photos during the last week of last term & I think I did well to already scrap it! Here it is...

I also scrapped the class photo (which is made up of all the kids' individual photos) to make it a double layout but I can't share it with you because it has all of the students' names on it.

SU alphabet dies were used to create the heading, and can you see the little Two-Step Birdie in there? Colours used were Night of Navy and So Saffron.

I also took the opportunity to scrap photos from Mia's Athletics Carnival which was held this past Winter. Here is that layout...

The colours in this layout are Bravo Burgundy and So Saffron. The stars were punched out with both the large and small star punches.

Now, I've just realised that I neglected to put a title and/or date on this layout. Doh! More work required.

Well, enjoy this Grand Final weekend. Hope your team wins.
