Finally a post!

It has been a while, hasn't it? Never mind. I finally have something for you, although no new stamp sets yet, and I can't bear to part with the now retired Groovy Guava or Afternoon Tea papers.

I tried to give the butterfly the appearance of having fluttering wings by adhering another set of stamped wings with dimensionals, in a slightly different position. Did it work?

I used Whisper White, Groovy Guava and Basic Grey cardstock, Afternon Tea DSP, the Garden Whimsy butterfly rock & rolled in Groovy Guava and Basic Grey inks, the One of a Kind stamp set, the Boho Blossoms and Large Oval punches, half pearls and glitter.

It actually looks really pretty in real life.

Pick a Petal - or two!

I recently purchased the Pick a Petal set and jumped at the chance to put it into use during a few spare minutes yesterday.

Here is the first card...


I feel it's a little bland but not tooooo bad for my first attempt with this stamp set. I teamed the Pick a Petal set with the Garden Whimsy and Short and Sweet stamp sets. The colours used were Whisper White, Regal Rose & Wild Wasabi.

Now for the second card...

This one is for my Daughter, Demi's 3rd birthday on Monday. I love this colour combination of Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant and Pink Passion.

I can't believe Demi is almost three!

Rockin' & Rollin Garden Whimsy

I'm pretty sure that's the name of the technique I've used to make this card:

Firstly, you ink the stamp with the lighter colour, then you roll the edges of the stamp in the darker colour. I've used my newly aqcuired Regal Rose and Basic Grey that arrived this morning.

Stamp sets used: Garden Whimsy, So Many Sayings, Polkadot.

Other: Window punch, Grey tafetta ribbon, half ribbons.

Turning Teen

Here is a card for our niece, Deanna who is turning thirteen tomorrow.

I used:

Stamps: Garden Whimsy, Live Your dream, non-SU number stamps

Cardstock: Afternoon Tea Designer Series Paper from the Summer Mini catalogue, Groovy Guava, Sahara Sand, Whisper White

Ink: Groovy Guava. Sahara Sand

Other: Oval punches, half pearls, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, corner rounder punch

Bookmarks and Tags

Hello friends!

Here are some photos of bookmarks and tags that I've made over the last few days. They make cute little gifts to go with customers' orders or give to class attendees. I can't tell you how many Mia has given out to her friends & teacher! She loves making them too, and we both LOVE our new tag punches. They are sooo versatile. The tags look great on gift bags, birthday and Xmas presents, and the list goes on.


Stamps used: In the Spotlight,Oh, So Lovely, Garden Whimsy, Short and Sweet, Think Happy Thoughts, Mostly Flowers.

Bookmarks

Oops! I just found another photo of some bookmarks that I made using some giant paperclips, my scallop and circle punches, and various stamp sets. These are so simple to make and make lovely little thank you gifts for people attending my workshops. My daughter, Mia also gave some to her school friends and teacher!

You will also see a a bow that snuck in. I had to try making one after seeing some on Splitcoast Stampers They look great made with the Printes Designer Series Papers (I used Certainly Celery).

Wrapping Paper

Here is some plain brown wrapping paper that I decorated using the Garden Whimsy stamp set.

Those of you familiar with Stampin' Up! (SU) will notice that not all supplies (inks and ribbons) used are from SU. As my SU collection grows (and believe me, it is growing) I hope to eliminate the use of any other supplies.

My First Workshop

Here are four very basic projects (due to limited supplies) that we created during my very first workshop which I held at home. Thank you to all those who attended - Sandra, Alex, Helen, Phoebe, Anna S, Anna K and Vivi.
