September Card Class

Hello again.

I'm back today to share with you the cards we made tonight during our card class. Here they are....
First up is a simple card using the Vontage Vogue set and the Very Vintage wheel together with the Rock 'n' Roll technique. Colours used were Whisper White, Pretty in Pink and Basic Black. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments. To achieve the dimensional look of the flowers, the large flowers were curled over the thick end of the piercing tool. The small flowers were glued on top of the large flower and then the petals of the small flower were pushed upwards.
The second card was made with the Sense of Time stamp set. The background was stamped with VersaMark ink & then put through the crimper. The Circle Scissors were used to cut the large clock face & circle punches were used for the smaller circles. Silver brads were added to embellish. The sentiment is from Short and Sweet.
Finally, we made a card that you may have seen in one of my previous posts. The patty was also put through the crimper to make it look just like a cupcake patty. Silver brads were used again. The stamp used was Simple Birthday Thanks. The image was inked with a Basic Black marker to be able to omit the writing from the middle of the stamp. The sentiment is from Something Sweet.
That's all from me tonight. Enjoy your weekend and hope to talk to you all again next week. Feel free to talk back to me by leaving your comments. It gets a bit lonely here in Blogland sometimes.
Bye...

A Simple Cupcake

Morning all!

Today I have for you a card made with the Simple Birthday Thanks stamp. What a huge stamp this one is! Here is my first card made with this stamp...

The sentiment is from the Something Sweet set. Colours used were Pretty in Pink, Real Read, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White. Also used were Scallop Oval & Large Oval punches, Pretty in Pink ribbon, silver brads and piercing tool.
I'll be back soon with my first ever acetate card!
See you then!

Big Bold Cupcakes

Brrrr! Hasn't it been cold lately? It sure was nice to spend a whole day at home today, away from that freezing wind.

Here is what I managed to do whilst at home:

These two cards were made with the Big Bold Birthday stamp set.
As you can see in the closeup shot, the cupcakes cases were put through the crimper to give them a life-like look. The stars were punched out with the small star punch.
Colours used were Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Rose Red, Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Night of Navy, Not Quite Navy and Bashful Blue. The sentiment on the pink card is from the retired Something Sweet stamp set.
Well, that's all from me today. Take care & try to keep warm.

Something Very Sweet

Hello again!

I'm happy to be back with my very first attempt with the delightful Something Sweet stamp set and coordinating cups...

It took a little trial & error to get all the dimensions just right so that the punched circle was centred & so that the little photo anchors closed the card properly, but in the end I got there! I really wanted to ensure that the sweets could be consumed withouth the card being destroyed. After all, it took a lot of time to create - ha ha! And I must say that I'm quite happy with the end result. What do you think?

Supplies:

Whisper White, Chocolate Chip & Pretty in Pink cardstock, Chocolate Chip & Pretty in Pink, circle punch oval & scallop oval punch, sweet treat cup, little flowers, photo anchors, brads & marshmallows.
