Flower Shop Bundle School Scrapbooking Page

Today I have another project for you using the Flower Shop Bundle. Actually, a scrapbooking project of my baby's Year 2 school photo:

Trying to keep my layouts simple and fast so I can catch up on the backlog.

I'm really loving these flowers. So versatile. Can think of a million things I want to do with them. If only time weren't a factor. :(

See you soon.

The Night Zoo Layout

Welcome back!

Two posts in one day - woo hoo! This time it's a scrapbooking page of my little one during her very first school excursion...

For this layout I used Night of Navy, Crumb Cake and Basic Grey. The letters were cut with the Simple Letters Stampin' Up! Bigz Die. The leaves were cut from some now retired DSP. The moon is a half 1 3/8" circle of So Saffron. Very, very simple.

Thanks for visiting again.

Christmas 2011 & 2012 Layouts

Hi everyone. I hope you're all well and keeping cool is this extreme heat.

I've had these scrapbooking layouts done for a couple of days now but I have been experiencing problems trying to upload images from my computer to Blogger. It almost sent me mad. Then I Googled the problem and voila! I have an answer, and hence my post, complete with photos! Only problem now is that it won't let me centre the photos. Oh, well. What did we ever do without Google? We have an answer for anything we could ever think of.

Anyway, here are the photos...and there are two layouts for each photo, one for Mia's album and one for Demi's.

For these layouts I used the Ornament Keepsake Bundle, the leaves from the Two Step Bird Punch, alphabet dies for the numbers and all SU papers and cardstock. Colours used were Night of Navy, Rose Red, Basic Grey, Crumb Cake, Whisper White and Real Red.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Until next time, take care.

Scrapbooking Layouts

Hi everyone!

I have two scrapbooking layouts to share with you today - one of Mia during our holiday in Fiji last year, and the other of Mia at the Athletics Carnival last year. Gosh, I'm so behind! Well, here they are...

First up is the Fiji layout. I used Crumb Cake (which I'm really into at the moment), Real Red and Bashful Blue cardstock, and First Edition paper of which I tore the edged using the Tearing Edge ruler. I sponged the edges of the paper with Bashful Blue. The images were stamped onto watercolour paper and coloured using ink pads and an Aqua Painter. The little flower in the girl's hair was punch with one of the punches from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack. This little flower features in just about every one of my projects lately. :)

Now for the very simple layout of Mia at her Athletics Carnival...

No great athletic accomplishments on the day, unfortunately, :( but I just wanted to write Mia a few words to let her know that it doesn't really matter if she comes a place or not as long as she knows in her heart that she tried her very best and had lots of fun in the process. No one excels at everything. And this lesson applies to everything in life, not just running races. I will always be there to support her and cheer her on in life. I will always be proud of her regardless of the outcome but she owes it to herself to always give everything 100% effort. It's the least anyone can do in gratitude for being put on this earth.

Too deep? Sorry! Let's move on and talk about the supplies.

I used Crumb Cake, So Saffron, Bashful Blue and Night of Navy cardstock. The background was creaed with stamps from the Extreme Elements set and the stars were punched with the Large Star Punch. Very quick and simple.

Don't go too far. I have another post coming right up!

Christmas Scrapbooking

Hello again.

Hope you're all well. I have to say that I'm loving these school holidays. Lots of R & R! So much so that I managed to complete another two double page layouts. Gotta love that! Here they are...

This first one is for Demi's album. It's of her first Athletics Carnival.

My little chicken came second in her sprint!

This Christmas layout is for Mia's album...

I do have completed another layout but I'm not really happy. :( It's just lacking something. Hopefully I can work on it some more over the next couple of days. Wish me luck!

A Red, Grey and Blue Christmas

Hi all!

How are you? Used to the end of Daylight Savings yet? Not me! I hate it, but there is one good thing that has come of it. The girls have been ready for school a whole hour early! No shouting required - ha ha!

Anyway, I'm back today with some scrapbooking pages. Yeah! Finally! These are for Demi's album...

I love the bold colours fo Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler, Real Red, Ruby Red (retired) and Basic Grey. Not much else to it, except for some die cut numbers, some Cherry Cobbler ribbon and some charms from my stash. I'm trying to keep things quick and simple so I can catch up on my scrapbooking backlog. Feels great to get back into it,

OK, I'm off. Next! ;)

Some School Scrapping

I think I promised you another card for my next post but instead, I have scrapbooking pages. I've fallen a little behind with the scrapping so I'm trying to get back into it.

Anyway, first up I have a page of Demi wearing her Winter uniform for the first time. Please don't ask me what 12 x 12 paper I used because I never remember the name, but they are by Stampin' Up! Well, here it is...

The second one is Mia's Year 3 photo. I scrapped the class photo too but for privacy reasons I won't post it. Anyway, here it is...

This was the first time I used the Letter It stamp set & I can see myself using it time and time again, especially for scrapbooking. I LOVE it but do you know what would make it the perfect stamp set? If it came with a matching punch! That said, the letters were very easy to cut out with scissors.

Well, that's all for this post but I'll be back in a few minutes with another project. Catch you then

Demi's School Photo

Hi everyone!

As these school holidays are coming to an end, I'd like to share a scrapbooking layout of my little munchkin...

It's pretty simple, really. I just wanted to keep the beautiful photo as the feature.

Quick, huh?

Well, be sure to pop back tomorrow for lots of Christmas cards to get your Christmas spirit going. :)

Until then, take care.

Playing Catch Up

Scrapbooking is just one of those things that is never quite up to date, isn't it? I'm always trying to catch up with all the photos that I take. I guess I'm not doing too bad, though as at least I'm up to 2011.

Here are some layouts that I completed this week...

You'll have to excuse the poor photos. I just wanted to get them posted in a hurry. You can see the detail clearer if you actually click on the photos.

I should have some cards to show you later this weekend so be sure to stop by again really soon.

See you then!

Demi's Dance Concert

Hello again.

Firstly, apologies for the big gaps in my Blog posts. I'm not sure what is going on with it all. I just know that I can't seem to fix the gaps. You'll just have to bear with me until I sort it out.

In the meantime, I have a layout of Demi in her dance concert costume. Doesn't she look adorable? I love the colours too. So vibrant and girly.

I hope this layout brightens your day. :)

Until next time...

Sports Uniform

Hello again.

I'm back, this time with a layout of the first time Demi wore her sports uniform earlier this year. I love the photos. She looks so cute. Her uniform is so big on her. Take a look...

I still have layouts to do of her in her actual school uniform. Not sure why I did this layout first. I suppose it doesn't matter as long as they all get done, right?

Well, hope to be back soon. Enjoy your day.

Andrea :)

Christmas 2011

Great to be back after our week-long holiday in Fiji & so glad to be able to stuck into some more scrapbooking.
First to share with you I have Mia's Santa photo layout...

I love the colours Ruby Red, Basic Black & Crumb Cake together. The baubles were stamped with the Delightful Decorations stamp set, punched with the Ornament punch and decorated with half pearls.

Stay tuned for another post shortly.

Until then...

Sorry for my absence!

Hello everyone!

I am so sorry for not posting for such a long time. I am slowly trying to get back into the swing of my crafting but it has been really difficult to find the time and at times, difficult to find motivation. I have been struggling to come up with ideas for classes, because, honestly my personal projects, such as my scrapbooking and preparing for my girls' party, have been suffering from neglect. I have been feeling like I want to get away from the pressure of coming up with new ideas to please people, because sometimes those ideas or projects are not my preferred style or what I most enjoy. Don't get me wrong, I love hanging out with all the lovely ladies that attend my classes and I hope to continue seeing them but I think I need some time out for myself. Maybe we can just get together for a gas bag & to stuff our faces with sweets!!!
I have so much on my plate with my girls too. Their schooling and activities, etc. You must all know how it is. Plus I will be starting part time work after a looong absence of eight years taken to look after my girls. I love it all but something just has to give sometimes. Selfish? I hope not.
Well, I will continue to post but not as regularly as I have in the past. I'll leave you today with three layouts that I completed this week...

I like the way I incorporated Mia's actual ribbons into the photo - ha ha! If you have any questions about any of the layouts, please ask.

Well, thanks for listening to my ramblings!
I'll be back! NOt sure when, but I will be back.
Take care.

Demi's Preschool Photo

Hello everyone on this glorious Summer day!
I have Demi's preschool photo layout to show you today. The photographers did a great job. The portrait looks amazing in real life & it's A4 size! Anyway, here it is...

For privacy reasons I didn't share the class photo layout with you, but I can tell you that it matches this page and includes a drawing by Demi.

For this layout I used retired DSP. I don't remember the name of it but I know it was from one of the mini catalogues. Cardstock is Rich Razzleberry & Certainly Celery. I made the flowers myself using the large scallop circle punch from the current Summer Mini Catalogue and some flowers punches that I own. The centres are the new adhesive half pearls. I used the spiral punch to give the small photo and journalling a negative look. Fairly simple but that's how I wated to keep it because the photo is so beautiful on it's own.

I can't believe she'll be going to big school next year! What a big girl she is.
I hope to get some more photos developed soon so I can get started on some more layouts and share them with you.
Until then, take care.

I'm even throwing in a Part Three!

Oops, I almost forgot this (which is possibly my favourite) layout....

I love that All A Flutter butterfly, don't you?

That's definitely it for today but as promised, I'll be back tomorrow with those cards.
