Mother's Day Mini Albums

Hello everyone.

I hope you're all well.

With Mother's Day looming just around the corner, I have been busily working on these adorable little albums for my Mum and my Mother-in-law...

They are both very similar. Just some minor differences. Firstly, I'll show you the one I made for my Mum:

Next is my Mother-in-law's album:

The album covers and pages were cut using a die from Quickutz. They are quite tiny which makes them all the cuter!

Most of the supplies I used are from Stampin Up!:

Cardstock: Basic Grey, Sahara Sand Very Vanilla, Bashful Blue, Marina Mist cardstock, DSP.

Other: Bashful Blue ribbon, adhesive rhinestones and pearls.

Dies: Beautiful Butterflies Die, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Floral Fusion.

Stamps: Language of Friendship, Teeny Tiny Sentiments, En Francais, Vintage Vogue.

Ink: Bashful Blue, Basic Grey.

Punches: Boho Blossoms, Jewellery Tag, Itty Bitty Punch Set.

Non-Stampin Up! supplies: Brick embossing folders, pewter charms,

Have I missed anything?

I hope I have inspired you to give these little albums a go. They make terrific gifts for someone special in your life.

And before I go, I wish all you mums out there a fantastic Mother's Day. I hope you get spoiled and loved just as you deserve. Enjoy!

A Break From Christmas Cards

That's right. No Christmas cards in this post. Instead, two birthday cards. As much as I enjoyed making my Christmas cards and projects this year, this was a welcome break. Here they are...

This one was for one of Mia's school friends. I used Crumb Cake, Certainly Celery, Garden Green and Chocolate Chip cardstock. The image was coloured with SU markers. The leaves are from the Two-Step Bird Punch. The flowers were stamped with the Vintage Vogue stamp set in Bashful Blue and embellished with half pearls. The sentiment from happiest Birthday Wishes was stamped in Chocolate Chip ink. The 'ribbon' was punched with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch from Chocolate Chip cardstock.

The following card was made for our niece, Victoria...

Without wanting to sound showy, I have to say that this is one of my favourite cards out of all the ones I have ever made, and boy, there have been a few! Maybe it's the colours. Unconventional for me. I wanted to go 'bright' for this card & I just picked some random colours. No real science to it but I love the result.

The colours I picked were Tempting Turquoise, Elegant Eggplant, Real Red and Whisper White. The sentiment in the centre was stamped with the a stamp from the retired Curly Label Punch Bundle.
The punches I used were the square punch, the Owl Punch, the small star punch, the Two Step Bird punch for the leaves, and the little flower punch from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack.

The dies I used were the alphabet dies, Floral Fusion die and the Beautiful Wings die. I used adhesive crystals for embellishment.

I think I remembered everything, but if not, feel free to ask. Even leave a comment, if you like. I don't get many comments :( so the few I do get are very welcome and very appreciated. They put a smile on my face. :)

Well, that's all for today. Who knows, I may be back before Christmas, but if not, I'll take this opportunity to wish you all a wonderful, peaceful and very merry Christmas and a new year that is filled with love and good health.

Enjoy your celebrations but take care and stay safe.

Hello!

It has been a while, hasn't it? Life has been just soooo busy, as is typical of this time of year, so when it came to my Christmas cards this year I wanted them to be quick and simple.

I came up with two cards, both incorporating the photos of my girls that I took especially to be included in the cards.

This first one is a front door card, complete with a Christmas wreath and the photo and sentiment inside...

The flowers were stamped using the Vintage Vogue set.

Next is the other card I made using some premade silver cardstock cards that were kindly given to me by a friend who used to work at a stationery outlet...

The Real Red belt is adorned with a stamped image from the retired Punches Three set. The inside is the same as the previous card...

There. All done. Now just have to address the envelopes and post them out. It is such a relief to have crossed off another item off my 'to do' list.

I hope to finish some birthday cards in the next couple of days so stay tuned for those.

See y ou soon.

Parties Galore!

Don't you just love Kindergarten and the parties that come with it? I do! It's such a fun time for my little Demi. She has been invited to five parties over two months! Can you believe it? What does that mean for me? Lots of cardmaking! Here they are...

Because there are so many cards and so many supplies that I used, I won't list them all, but please feel free to ask if you'd like to know anything. I'm more than happy to share.

It was really hard to find the time to make all of these this week (I think it is my record - ha ha!) but I loved every minute of it.

I've already started on another card tonight & I have a few more to make yet. Wish me luck.

Well, enjoy your night. Hope to be back soon.

Happy First Holy Communion....

...to my beautiful daughter, Mia and her cousin, Alexandra!

We celebrated this much anticipated day yesterday with a lovely church service followed by dinner at home with family and friends.

I'm extra proud of my big girl for soldiering on despite not feeling very well on the day.

Here are some photos of her special day. The photos show a little something in her eyes that reflects her not feeling her normal self but she still looked gorgeous.

The tiara was a gift from Nana (my mum) and the dress was a gift from Mia's aunty (my sis). Her hair was styled by Mia's big cousin, Michelle (my niece)....

My gorgeous girls...

The four of us...

My beautiful, Demi. She was so happy to finally wear her special outfit...

The two cousins...

This is one of the invitations I made....

I love the image. It's just adorable. I coloured them with markers and used Stickles on the dress. The leaves were cut with the Little Leaves die. The flowers were stamped with the Vintage Vogue set, cut out and adorned with a half pearl. Colours used were Whisper White, Certainly Celery and silver, that was kindly donated by our friend, Anna - hi Anna! The name of the stamp set with which I stamped the sentiment escapes me right now but its the one that has a cross and dove as part of it too. Can anyone save me looking it up? Anyway, it was then puched using the Word Window punch.

And the bomboniere/favour pillow boxes I also made...

For these I used the Pillow Box die, which I just think is awesome and so versatile. The ribbon is Certainly Celery. The personalised tags were computer generated and punched with the delightful Jewellery Tag punch.

Now for my piece de resistance and labour of love (and two painstaking days' work, I might add!!!!) - the cake....

The toppers were loosely (and I stress the word 'loosely') modelled on the girls. Everything on the cake was edible, except for the candles. The girls loved it, which made all the hard work worth it. Mia couldn't stop telling me how much she loved it.

There are plenty more photos where these came from but I think you've suffered long enough. Ha ha..

Now for a day of rest for us to recover. I hope my baby feels better really soon. Love you, Mimi! And you too, Dem Dem!

Thanks for letting me share with you.
